Oak "lamelis" (oak table top) is made of 6-11 cm glued wooden bars across the entire table length. This is the most popular method of making solid wood table tops.

The slope of the edge is the edge cutting when the table top of a 4 cm thick looks like 0.5 cm.

Lacquering slightly changes the color of the wood, it enhances the color and therefore the table top looks like it is slightly soaked in water.
